LABORER COURSES OFFERED, include:

Asbestos Abatement: In this advanced course, students learn to identify and differentiate among all asbestos fibers and fibrous substitutes through review of basic theory and inclusion of more advanced methods. This is a 4 day course.

Concrete: This basic course deals with the placement of concrete and the latest concrete technology. Specific topics include excavation, backfill and compaction, placement of concrete, concrete vibration, tool identification, finishing and curing and hands-on projects for pouring walls and flatwork. Job site safety procedures and regulations are also taught. This is a 5 day course.

Lead Abatement: This course emphasizes current abatement and interim control techniques, personal protective equipment and proper cleaning methods. This is a 3 day course.

OSHA 30 Hour: This course covers thirty (30) hours of training, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply toward the 30-hour Construction Industry course completion card. The course is comprised of 25 sections, each either one or two hours in length, and covers topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. This is a 3 day course.

Flagger: The primary objective of this course is to train flaggers to provide safe passage of traffic through and around work areas and to minimize confusion by bringing standard flagging procedures to our nation's highways. This is a 1 day course.

Mold: Course covers indoor air quality, sick building syndrome, health effects, remediation techniques, sampling, safety, histoplasmosis and avian related diseases and regulations.
This is a 1 day course.

CPR: A course that teaches participants how to recognize and treat life threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adults. Participants also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack, stroke and breathing difficulties in adults. In addition, participants will learn mouth-to-mouth ventilations and rescue breathing with the use of barrier devices.
This is a 1 day course.

First Aid: Course incorporates victim care skills, such as treatment of musculoskeletal, soft tissue, head and spinal injuries; poisonings; medical conditions such as diabetic emergencies and seizures. Course depth is further broadened by up to date healthy lifestyle and prevention information.
